Hunter Lovins is a revolutionary thinker and activist who is reshaping our understanding of the connections between the environment, technology, markets, and our own well-being.

Winner of Time magazine's Hero of the Planet award in 2000 and a frequent guest on television shows such as 60 Minutes and Good Morning America, Lovins is a prolific author and a respected environmental leader who has addressed the U.S. Congress and the World Economic Forum and has served as a consultant to many organizations and companies including the EPA and Bank of America.

Lovins is the cofounder of the Rocky Mountain Institute (www.rmi.org), a research, consulting, and educational organization that combines advanced systems analysis, biological research, and technological insight with new market and business models to provide an environmental framework for the productivity and prosperity of both corporations and individuals.

"All things interact, often in ways we don't understand. But at the same time, if we understand the interactions better, the solutions we come up with will go further than we might initially have thought. The solutions can then beget even more solutions."
